Official: Debt on electric, thermal pwr mkt rises by 27 bln rbl Apr

MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- Debts on the Russian electric and thermal power markets rose by 27 billion rubles in April, Deputy Energy Minister Yury Manevich said at a meeting of the commission for energy of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Monday.

"In general, debt on the electric, thermal power markets rose by 27 billion rubles in April 2020," Manevich said.

He said that payment collectability on the market of electric power fell by 7% and debt rose by 11 billion rubles. Thermal power payment collectability fell by 12% and debt rose by 16 billion rubles.

Consumption decreased by 3% on the year, and as a result of all the factors, Russian power producers lost about 36 billion rubles of revenue.
